Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Game Publisher (gamepublisher.org, the "Site") collects and uses personal data, and what rights you have over it.

Data controller: the administration of gamepublisher.org. For any privacy request, including the rights listed in Section 9, contact support@gamepublisher.org — we answer within 30 days.

2. Data We Collect

The Site has no registration and never asks you for your name, address or payment details. We collect only what a visit produces automatically:

  • IP address (stored hashed, never in raw form)
  • Browser type, version and language
  • Pages viewed, referring page, date and time
  • Analytics identifiers set by the cookies described in Section 4

We do not collect special-category data (health, beliefs, biometrics) and we do not build advertising profiles of you.

3. Why We Process It and On What Legal Basis

  • Serving pages and protecting the Site from abuse, scraping and traffic spikes — our legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)
  • Measuring audience and improving content — your consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)
  • Meeting legal obligations, should any arise — GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time — see Section 9. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager (Google LLC, USA) to understand which pages people visit. These cookies are not strictly necessary for the Site to work, so we do not load the analytics script at all until you press Accept on the cookie banner. Press Decline and nothing analytics-related is loaded or stored.

You can change your mind at any time: Cookie settings in the site menu clears your choice and brings the banner back. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser; the games and catalogue keep working without them.

Games are embedded in an iframe from our catalogue partner GameMonetize. That service sets its own cookies inside the game frame under its own privacy policy, and we do not control them.

5. Where Your Data Is Processed

The Site runs on servers located in Moscow, Russia (hosting provider Beget LLC). For visitors in the European Economic Area this is a transfer to a third country that the European Commission has not covered by an adequacy decision.

We keep this transfer proportionate: the data involved is limited to the technical records in Section 2, IP addresses are hashed before storage, everything travels over HTTPS, and no personal data is sold or shared for marketing.

Google processes analytics data on its own infrastructure under its own safeguards — see the Google Privacy Policy.

If this arrangement is not acceptable to you, do not consent to analytics cookies; the Site remains fully usable.

6. How Long We Keep It

  • Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted or aggregated by Google
  • Server and security logs: up to 12 months
  • Anything tied to a withdrawn consent: deleted at the next processing cycle

7. Who Else Sees It

We do not sell personal data and we do not transfer it to advertisers. Data is shared only with the processors that make the Site work: our hosting provider, Google (analytics), and GameMonetize (embedded games, within the game frame).

8. Children

The Site is intended for a general audience aged 6 and above. Behavioural advertising is disabled for content aimed at children, in line with COPPA and GDPR Article 8. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to support@gamepublisher.org and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — get a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
  • Erasure — have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — have processing paused while a dispute is resolved
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without giving a reason
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

To exercise any of these, write to support@gamepublisher.org. We do not charge for this.

10. If You Are in California

Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request to know what personal information we collect, ask us to delete it, and opt out of its "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. Requests go to the same address: support@gamepublisher.org. We will not discriminate against you for making one.

11. Security

The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS with strict transport security and a content security policy. IP addresses are hashed, administrative access requires a token, and public endpoints are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but these measures are reviewed as the Site changes.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Site evolves. The current version always lives at gamepublisher.org/en/privacy-policy/ and the date above reflects the last change. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
